I’m so bloody happy 😁 to be back to our work normal. My mental health wasn’t in a good place, and oh how quickly it returned when I was surrounded by our gorgeous team of humans. Good Humans. You see, BE A GOOD HUMAN is one of our Brand Values, and the last one I’m sharing with you.

Do what’s best even when no one is watching.
Make the right decision for the client, even if it cuts us out of a job.
We stand by what we believe in.
No brilliant jerks. We have each other’s back and strive for common goals.
We want to grow as individuals and as a team.
We never stop learning.

As we plough full steam ahead to the finish line for the year, the reminder that we are indeed good humans gives me the ongoing strength 💪 and confidence that we will continue to thrive and prosper as a team, for our clients, with purpose and poise.

BE A GOOD HUMAN. 💐

Get help when your Facebook account gets hacked

Mari Smith is undeniably the guru of all things Facebook, having played the Facey advisor game since the very beginning (I’m swooning).

I don’t take joy from others’ misfortunes, but there was definitely some relief 😌 to hear that even the great Mari Smith had her Facebook account hacked, and she had to jump through hoops of fire to get access to it again.

Definitely, a blog to 💾 save for when you need it: Mari has compiled a fabulous resource on how to get help when your personal and business Facebook accounts get hacked.

I’ve lost my personal Insta account over 12 months ago and ended up in a ♾️ never-ended loop ♾️ of useless data requests that went unanswered. Don’t let my experience happen to you.

Insta pumps up the collabs

Last month we showcased three big changes from Insta and they keep coming thick and fast.

They’re now testing new tools to help brands and creators connect – a huge move that could shake up the influencer marketing landscape.

New features include a dedicated “partnership messages” inbox, the ability for brands to 🔍 find creator partners based on their Instagram data, and a tool for creators to curate a list of ideal brand partners.

Brands will be able to use data and unique filters to discover and select the best creators for their campaigns. They can then “organise shortlists to easily manage multiple campaigns.” This is VERY good at weeding out fake profiles and fake follower accounts too!

With all new releases, these will go out to a small group of testers first so 👀 watch out for your access in coming months.

If you’re still hungry for more Insta tips – here are 10 stickers that improve your engagement and pat the algorithm on the head.

Spitfire Control: website launch

🏗️🏗️ Construction requires a no-mess, no-fuss project manager that takes control, guides the process and solves the problems at every step. Max from Spitfire Control is all that. His team of highly experienced project managers have a depth of experience across the workplace and commercial building sector across Australia and over the ditch to NZ too. Max was no-fuss in his approach to Banter to rebuild his website either. “I have a logo and a plane and I need a website that shows clients what we do”.

Delivering Spitfire Control’s new website was a pleasure because Max embodied our brand values, which were very aligned to his own way of working.

✅ We were given a clear brief in the stylistic approach
✅ We were given free rein to bring our craft of design to the project
✅ Max was responsive and decisive
✅ Max project-managed his stakeholders with precision

With projects like The Australian Council for the ArtsDiageoLinkedInSamsung, and Camilla, it’s no wonder Max is at the forefront of his game. Check out his gallery of projects, it’s pretty incredible!

Military Vehicles for movies, ads and general hire!

Vinh Tran, the Founder of Military Vehicle, is one of the most genuinely compassionate and generous people you will ever meet.

“I want to help people heal. I want to keep giving.”

Vinh’s collection of ex-military vehicles is one of the best in Australia, having been featured in movies 🎬 and ads across the country. Vinh rents these vehicles for use for the sole purpose of generating funds that go straight back to Australian war veterans and disadvantaged people of Vietnam impacted by war.

In collaboration with the Federal Government’s Business Strengthening Program, we assisted Vinh with a matched-funding community grant to rebuild his website to showcase his amazing vehicles, providing access to hard-to-find research & education materials, and to make it super easy to make a donation to this extremely worthy charity.

How you can help? Make a donationbook a Southern Highlands winery tour in one of the historic military vehicles, or pick up the Bell 47 Helicopter 🚁🚁 – guaranteed fun!

Facebook deletes face-recognition system: it’s big news in the world of data, that Facebook will shut down its face-recognition system and delete the faceprints of more than 1 billion people (ie you’ll no longer be automatically recognised in photos and videos). Of course, there are growing concerns about the technology and its misuse by governments, police, and others. It’s a bold and positive move by Zuck following whistleblower scandals and the introduction of Meta.
